January 2006: Antarctica and New Zealand

In January 2006, I travelled again to the South Pole and McMurdo Station in Antarctica to service and calibrate the National Science Foundation's UV spectroradiometers. It was my sixth travel to Antarctica. On the way back to San Diego, I stayed for a few a days in New Zealand, visited colleagues, and went hiking. The Updater is split in four parts, click on the links below!

Part 1: South Pole
The place where the Earth spins around.
Part 2: McMurdo Station
Antarctica's lovely capital.
Part 3: Flying over Antarctica
A bird's eye view of a vast and white continent.
Part 4: New Zealand
A pristine land of lakes, mountains, and sheep.
