January 2006: Antarctica and New Zealand Part 2: McMurdo Station

After six days at the South Pole, I returned to McMurdo to service the UV spectroradiometer there. McMurdo has it all: three bars, a world-class science facility, two ATMs, a church, dusty roads, and the Terra Bus. The only things missing are trees, penguins, and the feeling that you are in a pristine continent. | |||||||
