June 2005: Barrow, Alaska

Shortly after my trip to Norway, I travelled to Barrow, Alaska, to service the NSF UV spectroradiometer there. It was my third visit to Barrow. It was short and not as memorable as my previous stay in March 2004, when everything was covered in snow and looked pristine. However, there was one thing worth remembering: one day started with freezing rain, forming spectacular hoar frost on the instruments. It looked awesome:
